Feature Request: Add Expandable “Show More” for Projects List

Feature Request: Add Expandable “Show More” for Projects List

Category: feature‑request

Summary:
Enable an expandable “Show More” control in the main Projects list for users with many projects, similar to the existing Show More within individual projects.

Problem / Use Case:
Users who manage a large number of Projects in ChatGPT find it difficult to navigate and locate specific projects because the sidebar or Projects list shows a limited subset of items. Unlike the internal Project view, the global Projects list has no Show More, forcing extensive scrolling and inefficient navigation for heavy users.

Proposed Solution:
Add a “Show More” toggle/button at the bottom of the Projects list in the sidebar or Projects page that:

  1. Reveals additional Projects beyond the default visible count.

  2. Behaves consistently with the Show More behavior already implemented inside individual Projects.

  3. Optionally remembers the expanded state across sessions/page reloads.

Expected Benefits:

  • Reduces navigation friction for users managing many active Projects.

  • Improves productivity and discoverability of Projects without requiring users to scroll through long lists.

  • Keeps the UI clean for users with fewer Projects while making it scalable for users with many.

Priority / Impact:
Medium — not critical for basic usage, but significant quality‑of‑life improvement for power users managing multiple workflows.

Hey @shchat! Nice suggestion. If someone has a lot of Projects, a simple Show More button would save a lot of scrolling.

I can’t share a timeline right now, but I’ll pass this feedback along internally.
