An ability for a chat to change its own chat title is a good idea to ease chat management.
Right now we have so many chats with random title and I have to change them manually just to make them consistent.

Okay, I’m sorry if this is a different problem, but until today, my chats listed on the side bar almost always were automatically titled almost word-for-word what my scenario/story chat was called in my opening prompts.
So, if my story/scenario was titled: ‘She was not wanted.’, then the sidebar would have named the chat that same thing. Now the sidebar keeps naming the chat according to the action requested, if that makes sense? So, if I asked for a scenario/story, the sidebar labels the chat title ‘Story request’ or something. This becomes annoying and tedious as now I have to find my story title in my prompt, then manually rename my chat on the sidebar. When a user like me replays the same story, but in different ways, but the sidebar doesn’t name what I made properly, I get terribly confused. I am someone that users Chatgpt heavily and might redo a scenario/chat five different ways. So, if the sidebar names it something generic, then I lose track and have to take extra time to name it.
Thanks for the feedback! We'll share the request to rename chats through the conversation and make automatic titles more specific. We don't have a timeline to share.
