When there are multiple panels open, it’s hard to see which is focussed. Sometimes there is a cursor or not, depending on the panel. Plus the cursor is small.
It’s much better to make the focussed panel a different color - different shade or opacity. Or put a bright border around it. Maybe other cues which would make it faster to identify. It’s very common in multi window managers to have some way. All panels much still be clearly readable.
Hey @ddofborg! Appreciate you for sharing this. I can see how the current focus state could get confusing when several panels are open, especially if the cursor is small or not visible in every panel.
A stronger visual cue, like a highlighted border, different shade, or subtle opacity change, would make it much easier to tell which panel is active without affecting readability. That would be especially helpful for keyboard navigation and accessibility.
