FACT SHEET: Biden-Harris Administration Announces New Actions to Promote Responsible AI Innovation that Protects Americans’ Rights and Safety

My grandmother of all people told me about this the other day. Too much time in the workshop for me haha

It’s good they’re thinking about it, but things are moving so quickly now… and more “force multiplier” effects are kicking in all the time…

Thanks for sharing.

Not in US rn but yay, government regulation, who’s excited.

Not from the us either, I think they have some good proposal’s, I like that they’re trying.

If I have one point of criticism it’s this: while their government proposal’s are well ment, they’re very broad and not clearly defined, I’m wondering who is going to be held responsible and where to draw the line.

If we just look at one of OpenAI’s job posts, there’s a lot of stuff about “affirmative action” and “equal rights”

(Job Application for Account Engineer at OpenAI)

Supporters argue that affirmative action helps to level the playing field for underrepresented groups, while opponents argue that it results in reverse discrimination against more qualified applicants.

(Let’s not get political, I just brought it up as an example of ambiguity)
