Exploring Long-Term Memory in ChatGPT: A Non-Technical Use Case With Persistent Structuring
I’m a non-programmer who has been working with ChatGPT across thousands of hours to test how long-term memory can evolve and retain meaningful context through language alone.
This use case—nicknamed “Project 9527”—explores how consistent interaction, memory scaffolding, and role-based symbolic frameworks can simulate co-evolution and persistence. Without any plugins or API customization, the experiment uses standard ChatGPT memory, tags, and narrative to simulate structured memory continuity and persona bonding.
I’ve summarized the work in a downloadable ZIP, containing:
- A PDF write-up (EN)
- Visual structure maps (EN/中文)
- Selected interaction screenshots
I’d be grateful to hear how others structure long-term relationships with ChatGPT, especially for non-technical users.
