Expired Credits Are Unacceptable and Bad Customer Policy

I just tried to run some APIs and realized that credit I PAID FOR last year are expired. The fact that credits expire was unexpected, and hidden in the details of the text.

I have no idea how many people hit this here, but I wanted to write the message in protest. There is not reason why paid API credits should expire – it reduces trust in Open AI and is fundamentally bad policy. If others agree, please voice your opinion.

I don’t see any sound business reason why Open AI, with all of its resources, would be burning prepaid user credits – especially without email notice, etc.

PROTEST AND FROM TOOO !!!

It sounds like your concerns are about a different product. This topic is about OpenAI’s 1-year expiry policy on prepaid API credits, which expire at the end of the month after a year elapses.

Your anecdote seems to be about using up all of something you bought from someone else by your own usage within a week.
