Experiencing Reduced GPT-4o Response Quality Despite No Usage Limit Notification

Hi everyone,

I’m encountering an issue with my ChatGPT Plus account. Although I’m still accessing GPT-4o, I’ve noticed a significant decrease in the quality of the responses. The answers seem less detailed and less accurate than usual, which has led me to believe that I might have reached a usage limit, even though I’m not seeing any explicit notification or warning about hitting a cap.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a possibility that usage limits are being applied without any clear indication? I know that Plus users have message caps (e.g., 40 messages every 3 hours), but I haven’t received any notification indicating that I’ve hit my limit.

If anyone has any insights or similar experiences, I’d appreciate the help! Also, if anyone has suggestions on how to deal with this issue or if there’s a way to confirm if the usage limit is being applied, please let me know.

Sometimes, I change my IP address from the US to the Netherlands, and for a few responses, everything works fine. However, after that, I encounter the same issue again. Thanks

While there is no change in the usage limit (more details in this link ), I think there is an overall change in behaviour.

It feels like sometimes it tries to add more confirmation before doing things or answering only the diff changes instead of a complete code in programming.

Since chatgpt-4o-latest, the model used on ChatGPT is constantly changing, it is not impossible that it is being constantly tuned to optimize overall GPU usage (if anwers become shorter and nobody complains = stonks).

But while it has been bothering me I couldn’t find a more concrete evidence yet, so for now what I am doing is to try to make these particular issues more clear in the prompt.

Example: give me a full code for this, give me a very detailed answer on how I can do this… step by step.

Yes, what you’re saying is correct. However, I’m more concerned about the quality of the answers.
