Getting this error on web version using chrome, safari, edge, firefox.
Troubleshooting that I’ve tried:
cleared cache and cookies.
Restarted browser/s
Restarted computer
ensured browser and OS are on latest version.
Additional notes:
There was a time when it started working briefly.
Same account is still working on iOS without issue, appears only the web version is having this error.
Have reached out to help.openai.com since September 29th 2023.
Have been bounced between 3 different support agents, all of which keep asking for the same details. After sending the details requested for there is no further assistance provided.
At this point the support team has completely stopped responding or assigning to new agent.
Are you using any sort of tunneling service? A VPN?
When you say iOS are you referring the application? What happens if you try and enter ChatGPT using Safari on your phone?
Yes, you’re going to have to repeat some things. You have no idea how many times I’ve heard “Yes, I restarted it and confirm that it’s on” to just restart it myself, ensure that it’s on and “Oh wow, it works!”
I do use a VPN service, on both computer and phone.
VPN (same provider on both devices), chatgpt works both web version and app on iOS (mobile device). Does not work on computer.
Ronald I understand the restart scenario very well. This is not the case here though, since the issue has occurred there has been several macOS updates, all of which require reboot. Outside of those I reboot my device on a weekly basis. So, for this particular issue reboot does not correct it, unfortunately.
Ok. Can you try a fresh, new browser (Chromium is one that you don’t have) with the VPN turned off? I can’t remember if it does, but if it asks to transfer profiles select No
I hear you. I’m not saying that restarting is the solution. I’m just saying that although frustrating (because you have probably said and done this multiple times) that it’s worth asking.
