I’ve been consistently impressed with the capabilities of ChatGPT in generating insightful and informative responses. However, I believe there’s an opportunity to make the interaction even more dynamic and user-centric.
Loving the way ChatGPT generates responses! Imagine if we could take any line from its output and instantly create a follow-up prompt based on that specific point.
For example, if the bot lists “apple, banana, orange, tomato” as common fruits, I’d love a button next to “banana” to ask “Why is the banana a good choice for human food?” without losing the initial context.
Currently, when an AI chatbot provides a multi-part answer, like a list of items, if I want to delve deeper into a specific item, I need to manually copy that item and rephrase my question, ensuring I maintain the context. This can be a bit cumbersome.
I envision a new feature that would streamline this process significantly. Imagine this scenario:
I ask the chatbot: “What are the common fruits consumed by humans?”
The chatbot responds:
- Apple
- Banana
- Orange
- Tomato
The proposed feature would add an interactive element next to each line of the response. This could be a small button or icon (e.g., a “+” sign, a “Follow Up” arrow, or even an ellipsis).
Upon clicking this button next to a specific line, say “Banana,” a new prompt field would appear (or the existing prompt field would be pre-populated). This new prompt would automatically retain the context of the selected line (“Banana”) and allow me to add my follow-up question.
Example Interaction:
- Initial AI Response:
- Apple
- Banana [New Prompt Button]
- Orange [New Prompt Button]
- Tomato [New Prompt Button]
- User Clicks the “New Prompt Button” next to “Banana.”
- A new prompt field appears (or the existing one updates) with the context already included: “Regarding ‘Banana’, [User Enters Question Here]”
- The user then types their follow-up question: “Regarding ‘Banana’, why is it considered a good choice for human food?”
- The AI chatbot then generates a response specifically to that contextualized question.
This would make exploring AI-generated info so much more intuitive and efficient! What do you think? ai #FeatureRequest #Innovation #ContextualAI
