I’ve never been in such a predicament where I’m locked into a page that says ‘ChatGPT has now launched the Memory feature’.
I had a problem with the ChatGPT desktop application where I was stuck on the screen that introduced the new memory feature. The screen offers two options: ‘Enable’ and ‘Not Now’, but I can’t select either option and I can’t proceed. The app basically freezes on this screen.
However when I try to use another device it works fine with all functions, is this a problem with my personal computer? Or is it something else?
Not just you - I have the same issue!
Same thing. The chat history is also not loading.
Same problem here. Tried a few things but nothing worked
Although when I checked openai’s status page it said that the problem with ‘chatgbt’ had been resolved, this is not the case at this time.
This seemingly unrelated problem is preventing me from using it. I even tried to use chatgbt before the ‘Memory Tutorial Tips Page’ popped up, and everything worked fine, so I thought it was a simple display issue.
Also, when I opened the settings of chatgbt’s iOS software with this in mind and tried to turn off the ‘Personalise’ memory option, I continued to find a bug, and found that many of the options within the settings were not turned on, or ‘turned on’. I found that many of the options within the settings were not turned on or ‘on’.
Same Problem for me really frustrating, although it happens for me on multiple devices.
Seems to be memory related. It’s disabled for some reason, even though it still has all the memory from my chats with it.
I managed to clear all of its memory by using the web version on my phone, and now I somehow got it to work on my phone application.
After clearing your memory (though I don’t recommend it… maybe just wait for a fix), for PC, either input your prompt in Notepad or somewhere, refresh the page and paste it very quickly, then inspect element and remove the “ChatGPT now has memory” box.
Also, when I try to turn the memory back on, it comes up with “No application found to open the link.”
same problem here. Tried with 2 different browsers and incognito mode but no luck
Same issue here. Using on Samsung S22 Ultra through chrome, I tried using desktop mode too but it didn’t work
Same here. Anyone got to the bottom of this yet?
I have the same problem. If someone know how to resolve it, please tell
Use the Desktop app to avoid the issue for now. Web version doesnt work across different browsers and OS
Everything I’ve had problems with has been sorted, probably fixed, and the vulnerability is like the forgotten carrot in the corner of the shadows, now that it’s finally been discovered.
Still not working for me for web version
I solved the problem three hours after I encountered it, I had previously sent feedback to openai but got no response.
Now the situation is that maybe time (constant waiting) will solve the problem? But the situation I have solved so far is just my personal situation and not generalisable. In any case, the issue is now in a solvable state as mine has been resolved, although it’s still annoying that I can’t confirm how at the moment.
I have the same problem although i tried two different browsers , private window, deleted cache and cookies, restarted the pc. Please let me know what to do. The solution posted so far is not presenting any specific way to solve the problem.
I’m having the same issue. How to resolve this?
Both Edge and Wndows app are stuck in “ChatGPT now has memory”.
How did you solve the problem?
Same here, i’ve tried 5 different browsers, and 3 different machines, i keep getting the popup window “ChatGPT now has memory”, and i cant get past it…
