Does performance improve after the free trial?

I’m still on my free trial credits. What I want to know is, when I start paying, will I get better service?
Responses can be quite slow (one time my script timed out after 2 minutes!), and its not uncommon to get a response of “That model is currently overloaded with other requests. You can retry your request, or contact us through our help center at help.openai.com if the error persists.”

I’ve set it to retry 3 times but that’s not always enough to get a response.

I’m working on an app but if I can’t rely on the service, that’s a problem. Obviously I’d understand if free trial customers were lower priority and that’s the reason for the slowness and rejections but if there’s no way to pay to improve reliability, it puts a spanner in the works for my plans for this app

There is no difference between the grant token use and the paid token use. Is this with the API or ChatGPT?

I can only think there was a temporary outage at the time, it is slower at busy times of the day but I do not generally get those kinds of errors, obviously you need graceful error handling, but I do not experience it often.
