Does Assistant API charge for instructions everytime?

Hi everyone, I am currently making an email answering bot.

I have a very long list of instructions of what to say and not say etc.

But the input I actually do put in is actually very short (its just a short email)

So I tried to research this but couldnt find an exact answer, so does anyone know if assistant re-reads the instructions every single time? I know that for message threads it does read the thread every single time but I am just asking for the instructions part.

Yes, if the model needs to process it, then it needs to read it. Assistants don’t have a memory in the sense of retaining knowledge. The information has to be provided every time.
