Do projects return after re-subscribing?

I had a bunch of projects and then ended my subscription, they disappeared, but do they come back after subscribing again?

I’m sorry I don’t have an answer, but I’d like to know too. There’s currently no answer to this question in the docs.

I can report the same behavior of “projects” - the data within them going “poof bye” and being inaccessible when letting a subscription lapse. I just had one chat there to see it disappear, as I anticipated this and also didn’t find it useful.

The “new project” sidebar option is still there in ChatGPT without paying up, but after naming and pressing “create project”, there is just an API error.

You can export data in settings (or attempt to, often not working if there is any broken chat database), and see if you have the breadcrumbs of those conversations and instruction when you do a file text search on the emailed data. The export file received is made highly non-useful, without documentation of the message chain format.

Another $20 ransom to move chats out?

The most important thing is if it comes back if you subscribe again and it’s not permanently gone

I resubscribed and can confirm the projects come back
