Do GPTs respond more quickly on long instruction?

I’m working on a chat assistant and I’m using the RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) technique to teach it new information.

At the moment, I’m giving instructions by including them in a “system” role, like this: {'role': 'system', 'content': 'very long instruction ...'}. It seems that because the instructions are quite lengthy, the response time is longer than I’d like it to be.

If I were to utilize GPTs and input these long instructions directly into the “instruction” field, would this potentially result in faster response times compared to my current approach?
