GPT-4o was announced on 13 May 2024 but they still haven’t released the image generation capability. Is this still possible or has it been abandoned?

I don’t think 4o was supposed to be able to generate images.
It has visual, audio, and text input, and text and audio output.
But yeah, it would be interesting if it did, not sure what it would output though 
For instance, what would your brain’s visual output be? I mean you have eyes, but what if you had a projector as an organ?
