Hi OpenAI team,
A simple rethink of the desktop keyboard behavior:
Enter = new line. Shift = send. (Flip available in settings.)
Right now Enter sends immediately, making it impossible to write in paragraphs without accidentally submitting. Writing should be the easy action, sending should be the intentional one.
Just wanted to put it out there.

Thanks for sharing this - your point about Enter sending messages immediately and disrupting longer writing is clear and valid. The suggestion to make Enter create a new line and use Shift+Enter to send (with a toggle in settings) is a practical improvement that could make writing feel much more natural. I’ll make sure this is passed along to the product team as feedback.
