Hi OpenAI Support,
I’m hoping someone can help escalate an unusual Daybreak / Trusted Access verification issue to the team responsible for cybersecurity verification.
I’m currently conducting legitimate, authorized security research involving an active Apple Product Security report. Apple has reviewed the submission and specifically requested additional on-device reproduction evidence on a current shipping release.
This is exactly the type of work for which I have repeatedly encountered ChatGPT’s cybersecurity safeguard and been directed to apply for Daybreak / Trusted Access.
My original Daybreak verification finalized as failed, and Support reviewed the case and confirmed that it was not a provisioning issue and that the result was considered final.
However, the verification flow subsequently became available to me again and created a completely new Persona inquiry with a new inquiry ID and timestamp.
The current /cyber_verification/refresh_status response now shows:
metadata.verification_status: pending
id_verification.verification_status: pending
with a new finalized_at timestamp.
This is not the previous failed inquiry resurfacing — it is a different Persona inquiry created after the earlier finalized result.
I have already provided the exact inquiry IDs and timestamps privately in Case 14228255.
I am not requesting a manual override or appealing the previous decision. I’m asking whether someone from the Daybreak / cybersecurity verification team can confirm whether this newly created inquiry is actively being processed or whether it has entered an inconsistent backend state.
The practical impact is significant because standard cybersecurity safeguards are currently preventing me from completing portions of active, vendor-authorized security research that Apple has specifically asked me to reproduce and document.
Case: 14228255
I would greatly appreciate it if this could be escalated to the appropriate Daybreak / cybersecurity team.
