I think it’s going to be a big mistake if OpenAI can only render “game engine” style people, and not realistic versions.

It’s not that I personally have a need for this, but I know some folks do, and this will simply create demand for other models and erode market share.

I’m guessing that OpenAI is playing the legal route, since they probably don’t have legal consent from each individual’s image in the training data.

Such a shame, but there is such a backlash against GenAI, in particular “stealing” data for training. I’m not a big fan of this restriction, BTW.

I’ve had trouble doing “magic eye” or hidden 3d images in both DALLE2 and DALLE3… I’m sure it will keep getting better.

I’ve played with optical illusions, color blindness tests, and other stuff…

I may or may not have played with “subliminal messages” too in early DALLE2 days. I don’t think they allow that phrase anymore? Would be kinda spooky because you wouldn’t really know about the hidden message? Could GPT-4V notice it? That might be an interesting test. They were used in advertising for a long while and there’s example images online…

There was another more recent thread that I can’t find again, making old-timey stereoscope images also. prompting technique is describing the stereoscope, point of view from each eye in two pictures, etc.

Yea, I think this DOES confuse some people if they don’t notice it right away. You can force an exact prompt (as of now), but you have to explicitly ask for it.
