Today I was using the official ChatGPT Android app on my OnePlus 15 (India version). I simply asked it to search for and organize some learning materials on network penetration. ChatGPT handled the task very well.
Just five minutes later, my account was suddenly banned for “Cyber Abuse.”
Is OpenAI — an AI company — really moderating prompts through basic keyword matching? Does typing words like “reverse” or “crawler” automatically trigger an instant account ban? Have these become forbidden words in ChatGPT?
I’ve been a paying subscriber for a long time. But this kind of arbitrary, heavy-handed banning is where I draw the line.
I have not used Codex today or yesterday. I am confident this suspension was triggered because I asked ChatGPT to search for GitHub repositories related to penetration testing learning materials, as I was preparing for a certification exam.
