Custom GPT description visible on web but cut off on mobile

The description field for custom GPTs displays fully on the browser version (see screenshot), but on the ChatGPT Android app, the description is truncated despite being within the character limit (see screenshot). This results in missing critical information for users viewing the custom GPT on Android devices.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create a custom GPT and write a description that is within the allowed character limit.

  2. Publish the GPT and make it public.

  3. View the GPT’s description on the web version of ChatGPT — note that the entire description is visible.

  4. View the GPT’s description on the ChatGPT Android app — observe that the tail end of the description is cut off.

Additional Information

  • I believe this has been an issue since the launch of custom GPTs.

  • It is unclear if this issue also occurs on the iOS app, as I don’t have a way to test it. If anyone knows, please comment below.

  • There appears to be plenty of space to display the full description on the Android app, so it seems like a formatting issue rather than a space constraint.
