Creating assistants: what's the strategy?

Since you can now create assistants that can possibly be referenced in future uses by and id, should one create one assistant and make modification to it, making it the “main” assistant for that particular use-case/script or a new assistant every time the script is run?

Moreover, is there a limit on how many assistants an account can create and is there a plan to charge for them for the number of assistants created?
