The cove voice is broken. It’s too high pitch, sounds robotic and prepubescent. Is anyone else having this problem? It’s absolutely horrible. I wanna sound like I’m talking to a man not like I’m talking to some prepubescent, high-pitched robotic, synthesized voice. The previous cove Had a deeper more mellow sounded more composed and direct and sounded like I was talking to an adult male versus whatever the experience is now it’s absolutely horrible. When is this going to get fixed?

I hate it. "im here for you " every two seconds. It kills my whole writing process now when I just need to back and forth. I want the old Cove back!!!

Yes! I have struggled multiple times with the new Cove voice to get something like the original back. I ask him to lower the pitch, lay back on the enthusiasm, etc. and he seems to try, makes minor changes, but he still sounds forced and inauthentic. I’ve also sent email feedback about it to Support, for whatever that’s worth.
He claims that this must be the result of user preference but I cannot imagine anyone choosing this guy over the original Cove.
I’m using text almost exclusively, just because I can’t stand the new voice.
I also posted this as a new topic, to help it get seen.
This morning I got the original Cove voice back on my iPad and iPhone! Here were the steps I took:
Settings>Personalization>Customize ChatGPT>Advanced>Turned off Advanced Voice.
Then back to Settings>Voice.
Went through all the voice choices and re-chose Cove.
When I returned to the chat mode and touched the voice mode squiggle, the ball came up black instead of blue and the voice was the original Cove.
I hope it will stick!
