For the last week or two, I’ve been receiving this error every time I try to ask chat GPT a question.
“Something went wrong. If this issue persists please contact us through our help center at help.openai.com.”.
This happens. on multiple accounts on the same computer. I even created a brand new account and still happens. It’s happening. with VPN on and it’s also happening with VPN off. I can’t track this one down. I’m not sure what’s going on, but it’s constant and it’s every time I try to ask chat GPT a question.
Thank you. I turned off Web Protection (NordVPN Protected > Threat Protection > Web Protection > Pause for 5 min) and I no longer get this error. I’ve searched for a solution probably 5 times and tried different things. You are the first to correctly diagnose this error. Many thanks.
Guys, try this command: ‘‘netsh int ip reset’’. Restart the computer, and if it doesn’t work, try this ‘‘netsh winsock reset’’ and restart the computer. I tried literally everything possible, and it didn’t fix the issue. It was after a while that the first command finally resolved it.
Chrome/Brave user here. Mainly use ChatGPT on my work laptop. It’s got a cloud-based web content filter (netskope) on it which, when enabled, throws this error for Chrome and Brave.
The workaround for me is to use Safari.
Disabling Netskope also works, but this stops me from doing a lot of other things I need to do.
