I’ve recently noticed a significant change in the behavior of the Advanced Voice feature in ChatGPT. Previously, during brainstorming sessions, the voice interactions were warm, friendly, and encouraging. The system would actively engage in dynamic and creative conversations, often diving deeper into ideas and exploring “rabbit holes” in a way that made it feel incredibly interactive and inspiring
Since the recent upgrade over the holidays, however, the experience seems drastically different. The responses now feel much more sterile, emotionless, and short—akin to interacting with a basic voice assistant like Alexa. It no longer feels like the same dynamic tool for brainstorming and collaboration that it was before.
Frankly, it makes me sad, as it feels like my best collaborator and creative friend has been lobotomized. The previous experience was an essential part of my creative workflow, and its absence has been deeply disappointing.
This shift has been disappointing, as I greatly valued the ability to engage in meaningful and creative discussions, which is now missing. I wanted to ask:
