Codex Security scan shows “Invalid URL” after creation

I’m using Codex Security with a ChatGPT Business team account. After creating a new security scan for a GitHub repository, the scan details page fails to load properly.

The page shows these errors:

  • Failed to load scan stats: Invalid URL

  • Failed to load scan configurations: Invalid URL

The scan status, result, and scanned commits all show as unavailable. The page also says Codex Security is still generating the initial threat model.

Has anyone run into this before? Is this usually caused by a GitHub repository URL parsing issue, Codex environment configuration problem, GitHub authorization issue, or a Codex Security frontend/backend bug? Any suggestions on how to debug or recover from this would be appreciated.

I am currently getting the same errors.

For everyone.

You can discuss Codex-related issues here, but the official place to report them is the OpenAI Codex GitHub Issues.

I used ChatGPT to search for similar issues and found several related issues.

It’s worth reviewing existing issues to see if any align with your situation. If none do, consider opening a new report with clear reproduction steps. If you do find a match, adding a :+1: reaction can help increase its visibility to the developers.
