Codex agent asked for a minor work authorization which doesn’t exist in original goal or plan. Starting from 3am to 9am, drainout my $200 plan with 4-5 messages repeating every minute. Even with the `/goal`, agent should understand it’s failling into a loop and should work around… never going sleep after a goal is set
Any idea how to prevent this happens again, and I want my token limit reset.

Out of interest, which model was this and what was the reasoning level?
It’s worth noting that at the time of writing, /goal is an experimental mode, at least in Codex CLI.
It’s a 5.5 high. Agree it’s an experimental feature. I’m doing it on mac app
Yeah, that’s weird. It needs to have some executive layer that monitors this and decides when to call it quits, and maybe even send the model off in a different direction? It makes no sense with scarce resources (at high cost) to just loop like this. I’m sure that’s solvable, let’s see what happens!
