Just writing to express frustration with the Codex app as an API key user.
I use it at work via a corporate proxy set up as a custom model provider in config.toml
And starting from a few versions back some features started to break with each release.
First the plugins stopped working (you need to be signed in with ChatGPT to use them apparently), then an option to start a session in a new worktree disappeared, now the Automations tab is gone from the sidebar! It’s still somewhat possible to find workarounds, but it seems the app is deliberately becoming unusable unless you are on a subscription.
I love using Codex for personal stuff (via ChatGPT sub) and would love to keep using it at work, but it’s becoming completely unusable.
Anyone else experiencing this?
