Clarity On Monetization Policy

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for a clear answer on what monetization is currently allowed for ChatGPT Apps.

For example, I’m building a travel app and want to know if it’s allowed to link users to an external paid service page, such as:

https://www.caracasresearch.com/get-venezuela-visa or https://www.cubaninsights.com

Specific questions:

1. Can a ChatGPT App link to an external checkout or paid service page?

2. Can that checkout use Stripe on our own website?

3. Is gating premium app features behind external payment allowed?

4. Are ads completely disallowed, or is OpenAI considering future support for opt-in rewarded ads?

5. Can we expect a “native MCP” token in the future to allow faster purchases?

Trying to make sure I design this in a compliant way before building the monetization flow.
