Environment
- Surface: Web and macOS
- Affected feature and model, if relevant: Both GPT 6 Astra and GPT 5.6 Sol both had problems. So it’s not a model issue.
Bug
I asked ChatGPT in the Work tab in the Browser to provide me with a list. It was over 70 items long, but all one line each. Satisfied, I left my Mac sleeping for an hour, returned to the browser, and boom - list completely gone. All the preamble, post-amble was there, but the core content was just replaced by a slightly awkward small white gap, far shorter than the list. I tried all I could to retrieve this list, but it was no longer there, not even on the Codex/ChatGPT app.
Puzzled, I tried re-loading the prompt, again, with GPT 6 Astra. It errored, never sending the request to OpenAI I believe. It just loads and loads on the browser, saying “working,” but then checking the codex app to see if the browser was the problem, it didn’t show the prompt or the re-load at all. Just the initial list-less response!
I tried all combinations, adding a prompt with the re-do, doing it on the codex app then the browser, reloading. It would give me “something went wrong, please try again” on the browser if I clicked the re-do button on the app. I did this about 12 times. Nope! So I put in a prompt to GPT 6 Astra, a new one, asking it the same thing as before. GPT 6 Astra just errored out! Then GPT 5.6 Sol worked, but it seemed to not remember the previous list at all.
It worked! Providing me with a new list. The next day, however, the list was GONE too! That’s why I wrote this. It’s puzzling. ChatGPT work is quite buggy, lets just say.
