ChatGPT web client extremely slow responses for a week, with high cpu usage for chatGPT browser tab

There are multiple issues about this but of course this interface doesn’t allow me to post links, not even to other forum posts, so the forum is just going to become a mess…

it’s incredibly frustrating to not be able to use a service one pays for and also not be able to communicate with the service provider… :confused:

Having the same issue and agree this is beyond frustrating especially given the fact that as paying customers you should at least expect an avenue to get some real answers. So, I thought I’d ask ChatGPT to escalate the issue. Sadly even with this futuristic AI it said to report it in the OpenAI help center. Seems like the a pretty good use case for an AI. I’ll keep looking over the forums for solutions but this seems to be impacting a lot of people and not a peep from anyone at the company.

How do we get openai to acknowledge bugs?
I am experiencing two different issues, both a show stoppers for me. It’s really sad, and I don’t know what to do.

Obviously i’ve tried different browsers and this persists in both of them. I don’t know what to do.

I think you need to go through OpenAI Help Center to really get to talk to someone. Click on the chat feature in the lower right, then navigate through a maze of automated responses, until you get the opportunity to get to chat with someone directly.

For me it took 5 clicks to get to the point where I could enter a message for someone from the team (who may be human or may not be human, hey, who knows :smiley: ) to answer.

I haven’t heard a peep form OPEN AI since that response.
I’ve sent a message 2 days ago asking for an update but no reply.

what do we do?

I have tried to contact ChatGPT support and sent numerous messages for several days but I got no response. I would like to know what company in the world offers a service without non-existent customer support especially for paying members. I already switched to Google Gemini which works great with no delay whatsoever. My recommendation is to stop paying for ChatGPT until they fix the issue. The issue is with their servers slow response or they put us on some restricted list because they determined we are doing excessive queries which is not the case with me since I am doing 10-20 queries every 24 hours. I hope this issue can be escalated somehow for a resolution in the next few days.

I have spoke to support again and they assure me that they have escalated it internally. I have provided the details that I have cleared cookies and the cache and even used this in a live boot environment, and that it happens has the chat history gets longer.

I have suggested that they update this forum post and seek more details from the community.

Hopefully we will hear from them here.

Nope. If you haven’t yet, may I suggest you go to the help.openai.com and click the messages icon in the bottom left and start a chat.
Paste a link to this issue and report it in person.

It is really frustrating issue, there is so much about openai’s interface and features that I have come to rely on but this one bug renders them almost useless.

I am serisously considering cancelling my premium account because I refuse to send my money to a company that does not supply the service it promises.

If they don’t meet their promises then I don’t want them continuing to operate. I’d rather send me money to a company that is responsible to it’s customers.

I would much prefer open AI resolved this issue. When they are spending billions on developing an AI model, surely they can spend a small amount on resolving an issue with their UI.

How many conversations with the ChatGPT support will it take for them to address this issue? They don’t seem to admit the issue is on their side and keep asking… what browser you use?..change browser… clear cache and cookies… use a different desktop… same thing over and over. In the meantime Gemini works flawlessly but I must say it is not as good as ChatGPT. Google has a lot of catching up to do but it is useable as an alternative. Can everyone come together and keep pushing them to resolve this issue once in for all? We are paying premium for a company that offers zero support and keeps an important unresolved issue for a month until now.

openai has promised me on multiple occasions that they would look into this issue and update this post… but they have not done anything except keep assuring me they will do so… but, do you see a reply from them on this post?
