# Chatgpt voice freedom......... ...... ...

Dear OpenAI Development Team,

I would like to suggest a new feature called ChatGPT Voice Freedom, designed to give users greater control over their voice and video conversations.

Currently, live sessions can end unexpectedly or reach time limits, interrupting conversations and requiring users to reconnect.

I propose the following improvements:

Adjustable conversation limits: Allow users to select session lengths such as 30 minutes, 1 hour, 2 hours, or longer.

Unlimited conversation option: Provide an option for continuous voice conversations, subject to reasonable technical and service limitations.

Automatic voice switching: When video or screen-sharing limits are reached, automatically transition to regular voice mode without disconnecting the conversation.

Session extension notifications: Notify users before their sessions expire and provide an option to extend the conversation.

Personalized voice settings: Add these controls to ChatGPT settings so users can customize their experience.

These improvements would make ChatGPT more accessible, convenient, and enjoyable, especially for people who use voice conversations throughout their day.

- Background Conversations: You can enable this under Settings → Voice to keep conversations running while using other apps or when your phone is locked.
- Extended Voice Usage: Voice usage allowances vary by subscription plan, with some plans offering substantially longer or unlimited access, subject to applicable limits.
- Video and Screen Sharing: These are available to eligible mobile subscribers using Advanced Voice. When video or screen-sharing limits are reached, continuing with audio alone may still be possible.
- Usage Notifications: ChatGPT already provides notifications about certain usage limits.
