Chatgpt ui: do not fade in, print everything immediately full opacity. no transparent text ever

I am an extreme poweruser of chatgpt both web, and API, with chatgpt pro subscription, and a $775 LTV. As of a few minutes ago, you have deployed a new UI for the chatgpt web interface, which “fades in” new text, as opposed to writing it out fully.
DO NOT DO THIS, DO NOT EVER DO THIS.
It is extremely anti-user, as my eyes can’t scan things as it has been written out due to the next token being halfway faded in at the point chatgpt writes.
ROLL BACK THIS IMMEDIATELY.

Thank you.

I agree, it’s very tiring and distracting

absolutely agreed. or, at least give the option to switch back to the white dot, because I can’t stand how the fade in looks and feels

Agree 100%. It’s giving me a headache trying to read anything. The words also seem to load a lot slower than they used to. It was way better before.

Agreed. Please roll back. This is not usable.

I thought they had implemented something new. Thanks, I hate it! Please either roll back or implement a toggle, like other people are saying. It’s awful.

Just commenting to state this is really rough as well. The interface feels significantly slower, even if it’s not technically printing slower (though is it? feels like this might have been done to print at a steady rate, not as fast as the model can produce?). Tough to consume and feelings sluggish, and way harder to visually parse.

Agreed. I can’t even read it until the text is fully complete, so I switch tasks and then come back 30 seconds. Huge productivity loss.

I have to say it’s starting to annoy me more and more each day. As someone mentioned it actually feels as if the chat is slower now due to this weird ‘fading in’ stuff. Change it back!

Fucking fading fucking interfaces fucking suck.

Either the text exists and can be displayed, or it does not exist and cannot be displayed. This artificial middle-ground is fucking stupid.

Agreed. I hate this–it is beyond slower and sometimes the fade doesn’t allow me to see the full output, so it appears like it has stopped outputting.
