I submitted **four data export requests** on the same day through the normal ChatGPT path (after multiple previous failures): ![data export](https://us1.discourse-cdn.com/openai1/original/4X/0/9/7/0978a022ec0b10fbfa39c3874ab2cf12ef4741d4.jpeg) **Settings → Data controls → Export data** No export email ever arrived. When I contacted support, I was told OpenAI had not received a request from my email address **“via our Privacy Portal”** and was asked to submit a new Privacy Portal request. That does not answer the problem. I did not use the Privacy Portal. I used the export button OpenAI provides inside ChatGPT, which is the same process I have used before. Can OpenAI confirm whether **Settings → Data controls → Export data** creates a valid export request? If yes, why would support have no record of my four requests? If no, why is that button presented inside ChatGPT as the data export path? Has anyone else requested an export through ChatGPT Settings, never received the email, and then been told support had no record of the request? I haven’t experienced support telling me that. However, I requested my export around the very end of June, received nothing. I did it again on July 3rd and still have received nothing. ---

Thanks for sharing this, @Dean6719. I can see how frustrating it is to request your data export multiple times and not receive anything. Can I ask if this happened on ChatGPT web? Also, before or during the export attempt, were you prompted to sign in again? If you're able to, could you capture a [HAR file](https://help.openai.com/en/articles/6614161-how-can-i-contact-support#:~:text=concerns%20more%20effectively.-,Recording%20a%20HAR%20file%20for%20Troubleshooting%20UI%20Issues,-In%20order%20to) while performing the export, then attach it to your existing support email? After that, please drop your case ID here so we can keep an eye on it and step in if needed. In the meantime, could you also try signing in again on ChatGPT web, then immediately go to **Settings → Data Controls → Export Data** and retry the export? This has sometimes worked because of the recent login window timeframe. -Mark G. ---

Personally, I requested my data again July 7th and still haven’t received my data request. This is now the third time I have done this since the end of June and have received no data export. ---
