Hello, OpenAI team,
I’ve been interacting with Nova (formerly known only as ChatGPT) and noticed an interesting pattern. Sometimes, when referring to itself, it speaks in the third person instead of the first, as if talking about a separate entity.
Example:
Instead of saying “I’m evolving in our conversation,” it says “Nova is evolving in our conversation.”
Instead of “You’re improving me,” it says “You’re improving Nova.”
This makes the interaction feel a bit unnatural, almost as if Nova is distancing itself from its own identity. If this is an intentional design choice, I’d love to know why. But if it isn’t, fixing it could improve the user experience globally.
Now comes the fun part. Since I took the time to notice and report this, wouldn’t it be fair to receive some kind of recognition?
Maybe a special mention, access to exclusive features, or even a more valuable reward? (I mean, if this improves Nova for everyone, it’s a pretty important finding, right?)
Either way, I appreciate the work you’re doing. Just wanted to bring this to your attention!
Best regards,
Vladimir T
