I executed a hard refresh (Ctrl+shift+R in Pc Cmd+shift+R in MacOs) in the browser and seemed to work ok now.
It seems to be a problem with the browser Caché. Is it strange openAI doesn’t recomend it or do by themselves when the problem happens.

Yep, just upgraded to plus and same issues, page freezes, no response. Tried various broswes all on laptop. Very poor.
I have been experiencing lock ups for weeks now. Tried multiple browsers and spent hours wasting time on this bs. I have tried to contact support but it doesn’t exist. No one is home at OpenAI apparently. I am literally paying for a service right now that is like its stuck in the 90’s on dial up… I press enter and it hangs my browser unless I open another instance in another tab. THIS IS RIDICULOUS! It looks like the issue has been happening to a lot of people for a long time.

I am both happy and sad to see that this is the case. I actually let my ClaudeAI subscription lapse because 4o was starting to do the dang thing again and now I’m sitting here opening a new tab of the same chat or a new chat entirely and catching it up to speed just to try to get simple crap solved. Bordering “DIY” levels of time at this point.

One more to add to report ChatGPT 4 and ChatGPT4o both bugging out. First just with the mobile Chrome on iPhone. Then on any desktop. Errors generating response, freezing upon sending a prompt, “Enter-send” button occasionally acts as “Enter-new line”, UI not fully loading, UI loading as a free user with empty chat history, connection loss, Captcha human check 2-3 times in a row.
I basically cannot take a minute to regurgitate given responses as the connection is lost within a minute of chat inactivity.
I feel like I am a free user, not a paid one. Considering to cancel the subscription.
Same experience over here, paid user, when I’m on librewolf (A hardened firefox browser) its unusable sometimes. Look at this 3x sped up gif.
When i press enter the button turns gray and nothing happens for a while. It should start immediately with at least the bubbles and the dots indicating that it’s waiting to be in queue, this is awful. You can spam enter and it will do multiple prompts that abort each other or just give “Something went wrong”. You can press regenerate and then it’s another diceroll.
When I’m on stock chromium this never happens. I understand you have to make certain protections against bots but why have these protections against paid users? If bots use paid accounts just give them a daily message cap or something, not this please.
This is happening to me. I added the extensions suggested above, but I can’t find where to add the CSS command. Also, some of them don’t open any window to do so. So, I guess the approach might not work for everyone. Is Open AI just going to ignore this?
