ChatGPT Desktop on Windows: if the global Projects item disappears from the sidebar, your projects may still work normally.
Workaround:

Open any chat that belongs to the project.

Click the folder icon at the top of the chat.

Use the pin icon on the project card to keep that project near the top of the sidebar.
Projects and messages still sync with ChatGPT on the web. The missing item appears to be the global Projects index/navigation, not lost project data.
