I am a Pro user. I have read that the maximum number of words you can type into a prompt for GPT-4 is 25,000 words. I have only been able to ever input roughly 2,200 words into the prompt window.
What steps should I take to troubleshoot this problem?
After like 3 inputs, it forgets everything above; and like you mentioned, it skips everything past a certain word/char count even though the input was accepted with no warning. Super slimly on openai’s part; wasting peoples time who are trying to add context to their input not realizing the shit is not even being parsed or read.
It starts to forgets previous inputs anyway, and only can refer to the past X number of inputs at times depending on their size.
I have had it like 5 short inputs (tops 150 char) later claim to know what my first input was, but could not repeat it back to me.
how do we know when that happens ? is the history going away when we scroll up ?
