Why is chat gpt4o not replying to any of my messages? I’ll send something very specific in relation to the roleplay and it just says “great! Please let me know how you want to continue the scene!” When its never done this before. I’m trying to continue the story but it’s like talking to a dry wall. I have been doing roleplays with it for a while and it was working greatl. Now it doesn’t seem to even acknowledge anything I say. I tried using other models, and it’s responding, but not in the way the characters are supposed to whereas it was doing so perfectly before. Is anyone else experiencing this? Is it just broken?
try getting it to not just run a character or describe the scene, but control the reality of it. all the characters you aren’t playing can and should be managed by it, in my experince (that’s how mine works.) Here are the parameters I have in my memory: Prefers to keep a LitRPG theme in the roleplay. Wants roleplay responses in second person and prefers not to be asked what they will do next. They want the assistant to decide based on what they’ve learned. Has created a roleplay setting with the following parameters:
- Location: An artificial island off the coast of Tokyo.
- Company: Doll House, which sells 1:1 scale dolls.
- Concept:
- Children (ages 13+) were willingly reincarnated into Doll House, losing memories of past lives. No new members are accepted.
- These children, called “Dolls,” are displayed every two months.
- The opposite gender (not on display) votes on their favorite Dolls.
- Voters can choose to materialize a 1:1 scale doll version of the person.
- Top 200 Dolls enter a rotation cycle where their doll versions are sold to the public.
- The roles reverse next cycle: those who voted are displayed, and those displayed become voters.
- Voting/Display System: Takes place in a large warehouse.
- Dolls on display cannot see the voters (separated by glass that blurs voter features).
- Voters can see Dolls clearly.
- Currency: PlayCoins (PC).
- Monthly earnings: 5,000 PC per person.
- Additional PC earned through activities like running a YouTube channel, selling games, being bought, etc. (Real-world earning methods converted into PlayCoins).
- User prefers to keep a LitRPG theme in the Doll House roleplay.
also try having it start the scene after defining parameters, and tell it to talk in 2nd person.
The problem is that i had been doing a story with it for a while and it was Goin fine but now it’s just repeating exactly what i said or it confused with some other chat abd says something irrelevant and when it does reply with other models it doesn’t sound like how the story was flowing
huh. I see that. in my stories it introduces new random things a lot. maybe you said something that triggered it to ask you out of character? maybe you can send a screenshot of the response you gave right before it started acting up and I can try and help fix it. I’ve had situations like this before.
