Chatgpt 4.0 error - "Unusual activity has been detected from your device. Try again later. "

I finally found what worked for me, all I had to do was uninstall the app and change the language on my iPhone to English.

This absolutely worked!!! Thank you for sharing.

Man you need to check the updates

I just update Chatgpt App on my mac, and it works.

It made the trick for me too.

Same error here, it started after I logged in with Apple, while I usually login with Google, dk if it’s related but might be…

This just worked for me too. Thanks for the suggestion, I forgot turning it off and on solves all problems.

So I guess this never got resolved? Can’t get it to do anything for a couple hours now. Any thoughts?

In this scenario, If you are an Android user go to Play store, and IOS should go to the Apple App Store and check if there is an App “Update” option available. Update the app and now open it, the issue will be fixed for sure. This really worked for me.

If this alternate works for any user, kindly reply to this response.

Hello, I am on iPhone and I have tried everything that has been said, uninstalling then reinstalling the app, logging out then logging back in, changing the language of the app but the same error message appears each time: “Unusual activity has been detected from your device. Try again later. (919ac334d93299b0-CDG)”

On Mac which worked for me:

  1. Quit ChatGPT app
  2. Open Activity monitor
  3. Search: cfpref
  4. dubbelclick on cfpref+username
  5. Force quit process
  6. Start up ChatGTP again

This is like giving your Mac a reboot but allot faster. All your other apps will stay open. You’ve just cleaned out your account preferences.

Hope this helps someone

For me I was asking how to merge vudu fandango accounts and get the best success rate. It probably flagged it as a hacker thing for no reason

I had this error in iPhone app.
What helped me was: I went to the same chat in my browser on PC, then typed new (random) prompt there, got some answer from ChatGPT, then reopened iPhone app with the same chat and the error disappeared.

My steps to recover:

  • quit chatgpt app
  • remove cache file (mac: ~/Library/Application Support/com.openai.chat)
  • run chatgpt app again
  • sign in again

same here.It happened and it just logged me out…

same issue on my pc with edge browser, can’t fix it.
