# Chatbar bug: opening in the same desktop where previously used

On option + space, the chatbar opens in the previous desktop (not the screen where I am working). Please rectify this asap. Same with full screen apps, it doesn’t open where I want.

Disheartening to see this issue was reported in August and is still in the app. Are OpenAI not checking bug reports here? Do we have to report this elsewhere to be seen? 😐

It seems this has been resolved in one of the last few updates.

Still happening. After a while, especially when in a full screen app (eg. Safari), it opens on the wrong desktop. Clicking the ChatGPT icon in the menu bar doesn’t do anything either (on the current desktop). Then, when you swipe to another desktop, the chat bar is shown there, but disappears when the swipe is complete.

Quitting and restarting ChatGPT fixes the issue for a while.
