I feel so frustrated, it seems openai doesn’t even care for their customers. It’s been almost a week since I opened this bug’s report but still NOTHING.

I am having this issue. If I search for the chat in the Sidebar it reappears, but it disappears again. This does not happen on the Web interface. in other words, I have not lost my chat, but it is becoming unusable.

Exactly what’s happening for me. And it seems to be getting worse each day. If this doesn’t get resolved in the next week - I’m cancelling my paid plan.

Ok, it’s not just me. I was typing a text and it all disappear, I initially thought I did something then it happened several times. I got quite annoyed.

It seems to be related to the size of the chat. I started a new chat on the same topic, copying parts of the old chat, and the new chat is fine.
Do the chats disappear for you on the web interface as well? On the web interface it would basically lock up Firefox because it was so big.

I’m having the same problem on iOS. It’s really frustrating when chats just vanish randomly, and refreshing or searching doesn’t help at all. It’s good to know I’m not alone, but I hope there’s a fix coming soon!

It’s been driving me bonkers. Missing, disappearing and lagging. Logging out and back in does nothing.

Why isn’t anyone addressing this bug? My recent conversations keep disappearing, and I have to reload and force quit the app multiple times before they reappear. Numerous users are experiencing this issue across different platforms. ChatGPT, this is incredibly inconvenient and needs to be fixed. This bug or software malfunction is completely unacceptable.

Folks… a Minute ago there was an Update in the MacOS App…
Everything is back (for now) even some chats that disappeared completely days ago…
Hope that was it.

I more and more think it is a limitation becasue of the size of the chat. Does anyone have the issue with a small chat?

I am facing what might be an even worse problem - right in the middle of chatting, the page suddenly refreshes, the chat disappears from the left hand pane , and I get taken to a brand new chat.

All 20 of my chats are gone on my Android phone.
I was typing a response in an old thread, I heard a beep, and then lost the entire thread. When I searched for keywords in that thread, I was able to locate the thread again, but whatever I was typing was gone.
What the hell is this!?

I’ve had this exact issue. And chats disappearing and popping in. I heard they’re aware of it, and hopefully they’ll fix it soon.

I feel the same, I really need those conversations back.
Does anyone has a fix already or has anyone reached out to OpenAI about this?
Most of my important information is stored there, and I relied on it.

Happened to me just now, was speaking for the first time, when I closed the “voice” pretty much whole history gone, only like 4 very first messages left… happened while on native Mac app
