Feature Request: Chat Grouping for Better Organization and Custom Instructions

I would like to suggest the ability to create chat groups in OpenAI. I use GPT for studying history and English, but it’s difficult to manage conversations by topic. Daily chats and study-related conversations often mix together, making it hard to separate and revisit important chats.

Here are the key features that would help:

  1. Allow users to create folders or groups to organize multiple conversations for better management.
  2. Include the ability to collapse or expand these groups as needed.
  3. It would also be helpful to create subfolders within folders, allowing for nested organization.
  4. Additionally, allow users to assign different instructions or profiles to each folder. In an object-oriented manner, instructions could be specified at the parent folder level and inherited by subfolders, with the ability to override or modify the instructions for each subfolder using polymorphism. This would allow for more flexible, topic-specific interactions.

Reference: Google Chrome offers a similar feature, where users can group multiple tabs together.
