My ChatGPT webapp keeps reloading. Clearing cache makes no difference. I’m using Chrome and Incognito (on an iMac) is more stable but I can’t use the main site. Any ideas?

If you have any extensions on your browser, turn them off.
Some extensions related to search in ChatGPT can especially cause this issue.
Appreciate the response. I’ve removed extensions - even many not associated with search - and the problem persists. I can’t even get an error message using dev tools because it is constantly refreshing and is an endless stream of activity. This is the first time I have seen this behaviour.
I am having the same issue. Chrome for Mac (Sequioa 15.5). It keeps reloading non-stop and switching between 4o and 01. It renders Chat unusable.

Same thing here, on Windows + firefox BUT on the same Windows and Edge it doesn’t. On Mac and Chrome with the same user is working fine

I’m having the same issue, and didn’t experience it until gpt5 was released. Now it’s broken everything and won’t even load on mobile, or the desktop app, and the web browser just keeps timing out and needing to be refreshed. If I open another tab to work on another chat, it refreshes to whatever is happening in the other tab. It doesn’t matter if I’m in incognito or not and same things happen in safari and chrome.
Any updates or potential fixes?
