Feature Request: Chat Folder Organization

Please add a Chat Folder feature in ChatGPT so users can organize conversations by topic.

Example folders:

  • :file_folder: Current Affairs
  • :file_folder: Computer Fundamentals
  • :file_folder: English Grammar
  • :file_folder: Vocabulary
  • :file_folder: Pakistan Affairs
  • :file_folder: Islamic Studies

Features that would be helpful:

  • Create unlimited folders and subfolders.
  • Move existing chats into folders.
  • Automatically group chats with similar titles or topics.
  • Pin important folders.
  • Search within a specific folder.
  • Sort folders by date, name, or custom order.
  • Sync folders across all devices.

This would make it much easier to find and continue long-term study conversations without scrolling through hundreds of chats.

Iā€™m sending this to the team for logging: folders and subfolders, moving existing chats, automatic grouping, pinned folders, folder-specific search, custom sorting, and cross-device sync.
