it is the actual link and to the users saying its coming soon it would be due to it is only available for plus users it is shame man comeon openai only few % owns a mac and still no access ☹ and they said gpt store would be available for free but it isnt atleast yet for me

It will probably arrive at some point as a notification while using chatgpt as a web app, they probably roll it out slowly to plus users, but is probably not available right away

I spoke with one of the customer support agents and asked him “Will all plus users get the app today?”, to which he basically responded “We appreciate your patience”.

Scam links are going around. This is the only legit download link:  
[https://persistent.oaistatic.com/sidekick/public/ChatGPT\_Desktop\_public\_latest.dmg](https://persistent.oaistatic.com/sidekick/public/ChatGPT_Desktop_public_latest.dmg)  
It is being rolled out to ChatGPT+ and free users over the next couple of weeks. Plus users have priority for getting access, please be patient. If you do not have access you will not be able to use the app.
