First, thank you for this super cool assistant.
While using the chat, it becomes a long list of request/response messages.
Not all the messages (my requests and AI answers) are important.
It could be great to be able to remove what is not necessary.

If you started a thread that’s just a quick tangent, I recommend editing your response before it branches so you get a continuous meaningful conversation. (I can draw a diagram if the explanation was too obtuse. UX is difficult to put into words)
As this is just the beta, I’m betting you might have to wait until the API is available and someone programs a better assistant.
I’m not sure if OpenAI will ever polish up ChatGPT and release on their own. More likely, the project will be taken over by Microsoft/Bing at some point.
