Is this happening in the OpenAI environment while being on chat.openai.com aka chatgpt.com?
Since this has been happening for about two weeks, let’s go through a few things that might be causing it and what you can try to fix it:
Check for Third-Party Interference
Some security applications, like VPNs or antivirus programs, can block ChatGPT’s functionality. For example, NordVPN’s Web Protection has been known to cause issues.
Try disabling any VPN, antivirus web protection, or ad blockers to see if that helps. Did you already check for this?
Clear Your Browser Cache & Cookies
Sometimes, old cache data or cookies can cause problems.
Go to your browser settings and clear cache/cookies, then restart the browser. If that doesn’t help, try using a different browser altogether.
Disable Extensions

Try turning off all extensions temporarily and then reload ChatGPT.
Or you could also probably try an icognito session where normally now extensions would be loaded anyway as long as you didn’t explicitly give them rights to be loaded in private windows as well.
Check if Your Account is Restricted
Might be highly unlikely, but:
If OpenAI flagged your account for any reason, certain features could be disabled.
Check your email for any messages from OpenAI and, if needed, reach out to support.
Server-Side Issues
If it’s not on your end, OpenAI’s servers might be having trouble.
Check OpenAI’s status page or try again later to see if it’s a temporary issue. But I also think that’s highly unlikely.
