Ever since the advanced voice mode came out, I’ve been chatting with it a little every day. But when I’m driving, I have to start it on my phone first, which is a bit inconvenient. It’d be awesome if there were official CarPlay support. Just having voice mode would be totally safe and super helpful!

I believe this is now possible. Shortcuts are no longer needed for Siri to ChatGPT. Just launch Siri via steering wheel or however you do it in your car and say “Ask ChatGPT.” If you have voice selected in ChatGPT it’ll take over the chat from Siri. If you don’t, Siri will remain the voice relay.

I agree. I would also love to have advanced or normal voice mode in CarPlay. KipDog‘s idea might work but definitely not yet in EU. So an official solution from OpenAI would be better.
Please add this! Chatting with advanced voice mode while driving is an amazing efficiency booster, all the things you thought about all day that you want to know more about or lay plans for tomorrow while commuting home…Please make an official carplay integration vs having to launch advanced mode and effectively bluetooth it. In my car this always jams up my carplay audio too, where when I am done talking to chatgpt on the surround sound and mic the rest of my AV is jammed up, no sound from YoutubeMusic, etc. An official app that works seamlessly with AV would be awesome!!
