I went back to an old thread that had a canvas on it already. I started playing around with regenerating old responses. I clicked on model 4.5. It decided to activate canvas without asking. No big deal. I decided to use one of the canvas tools on it. I got an error message “model not found.” Confused I tried a few refreshes and other tools. Same thing. I opened Canvas in another thread, pretty random. No issues. I started running through the situation with chatgpt. I mentioned keeping the models the same. I looked back at the original thread and I realized the problem. No model was locked in as the default. My guess I must have been using one of the models that got removed.
I wanted to post this in case someone else ran into the issue. The bug is that the thread didn’t assign a new primary model, so simply assign it and you’re good.
