I’ve seen that others have run into this problem as well, but none of the troubleshooting has worked for me. I have conversations that are up to 1.5 years old, and a select few of them won’t open. I receive the same message on all the conversations that have reached the text limit (which I’ve never attempted to go over). It may sound stupid, but these little stories are important to me. How might I go about getting them back?

Unfortunately, old conversations can’t always be retrieved once parts of the context have been truncated that’s a known limitation.
What’s likely happening is that when a model generates a large amount of reasoning/context, the conversation can start getting shortened to fit within the available context window. That truncation often affects the middle of the thread, but in harder reasoning cases it can also impact earlier prompts or uploaded file context, which may lead to the behavior you’re seeing.
